Clay Bowl - Tamarindo, Costa Rica
While enjoying the beautiful beaches of Tamarindo, I was approached by a number of locals selling clay products ranging from bowls to candle holders and vases. It was difficult to decide between the many colors and designs, but I settled on the burnt orange which mimicks the color of the beach at sunset. The design is xxx.
Costa Rica is a beautifully lush country situated between Nicaragua and Panama. It is easy to understand why tourism is the country's main source of income. Within a day, it is possible to visit the mountains, beaches and coffee plantations. I spent one week in the capital, San Jose, where I wandered the city streets enjoying the constant activity. Day trips took me to Poas Volcano and Espiritu Sando Coffee Plantation. My family later joined me in Tamarindo, where we relaxed on the beach for an entire week sipping on fruity cocktails, eating some of the best fish we've ever had and enjoying long conversations with both locals and expats.
